لاہور میں بدترین سموگ نے ڈیرے ڈال لئے ہیں۔ حکومت پنجاب نے اس حوالے سے بڑے ایکشن پر عملدرآمد شروع کردیا ہے جس میں لاہور کے سب سے زیادہ متاثرہ علاقوں میں گرین لاک ڈاؤن لگا دیا گیا ہے جہاں جنریٹرز، چنگچی رکشوں اور دھواں چھوڑتی گاڑیوں پر پابندی لگا دی ہے۔ اسکے علاوہ باربی کیو مراکز رات 8 بجے بند کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے اور خلاف ورزی پر بھاری جرمانوں کا حکم جاری کردیا گیا ہے۔ تاہم دوسری طرف راوی اربن ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی بھی ایکشن میں آگئ ہے۔

روڈا نے راوی کنارے قائم سو سے زائد فیکٹریوں کو ماحولیاتی اقدامات نا کرنے پر سیل کردیا ہے جبکہ درجنوں فیکٹریوں بھاری جرمانے کئے ہیں۔ روڈا حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ چھوٹی بڑی فیکٹریاں لاہور میں سموگ کا بڑا زریعہ ہیں جسکے باعث انکے خلاف بھرپور کریک ڈاؤن کئیا گیا ہے اور آئندہ بھی انکے خلاف کارروائیاں جاری رہیں گی۔
